First Step Counseling Services is an approved Medicaid and PeachCare provider by the state of Georgia.

Our Mission is to bring families together again by offering high quality counseling services to children and adolescents with substance abuse issues or severe emotional disturbances such as, anger management, depression, eating disorder, self mutilation, low self esteem, peer conflicts, grief or substance abuse issues.

Our Purpose is to provide 24 hour counseling services for approved Medicaid and PeachCare (Wellcare, Peachstate & Amerigroup) recipients.

What We Do:

• Provide comprehensive counseling for individual family intervention (IFI), crisis intervention, individual, family and group therapy, parent training, behavior modification and substance abuse.
• Equip children and adolescents with the necessary skills to provide strength and empowerment.
• Diffuse existing crisis, evaluate their nature and intervene to reduce the likelihood of recurrence.
• Contribute to family preservation by avoiding out of home placement.
• Enhance the parents’ or legal guardian’s capacity to care for their children.
